Carcavelos, week before Christmas

Had a few lunch time sessions at Carcavelos last week. Small surf but no time for more.
Rui managed to make a ding on his board with his foot on one of those sessions.

Had three lunch time sessions last week on Linha do Estoril. Good swell and offshore winds every day.
Got some surf on my new 6'8 also!

And another stick

So, gusy droped in on this guy, some time ago, and removed by force the FCS fin and adapter from his board also damaging the other guys board.

Not happy with this state of affairs, Gusy sold his 7'6 , went to Red Eyes, droped his board there for fixing and ordered a new stick. Here are the photos:

Saturday surf

Had a fun session this saturday in Riviera with the guys. Before going home we stopped at Barbas for a few shots.

So this last weekend we didn't do much surf. Sort of.
Last Thursday we all went to Guincho, and it was alright. It was a bit smallish and loads of crowded... still, we had a good time.

I was expecting a lot less people there, but it was really crowded at Guincho. Some of these photos were taken from other beaches to the left of Guincho.

I think we also went to Praia Grande one of these days, but can't quite remember which it was, and I know we don't have any photos of it... I gotta start taking my underwater cam again to the beach and start getting some more photos of us surfing... or trying at least....

Surfing Weekend

Yeah, so I haven't written much in a while.
Not that we haven't been surfing, but rather because I couldn't be bothered...

So this last weekend over here in Portugal was really nice. Friday it was a national holliday!
On thursday, we all left work a bit earlier to get some surf. Gusy was surfing all last week after work and on thursday we all decided to join him. We went to Guincho and we caught a few good waves, it was a really nice way to start the weekend.

On friday Gusy went surfing to S. Pedro de Moel. I spent the entire day in bed sleeping. I was not very proud when I woke up at 8 pm and realised it was dark again already and Guincho had been shooting perfect waves ....

On Saturday Gusy went surfing to Paredes and I went to Guincho. It was big. Had a few bad drops but got a few really good waves.

Sunday, yesterday, we all went to Peniche, me Gusy and Hugo. It was nice but the waves were getting smaller. Still managed to get a few decent waves. Then we just decided to start making up stuff and getting the bigger waves of the set, even if they weren't good... so we had a 1 hour session of wipeouts.

Autumn finally starting

So, last Sunday we went to Peniche and I bought a new surf board. 6'3" x 18 1/2" x 2 3/8" .

So yesterday me and Gusy went to Praia Grande to get some waves.
It wasn't that good, the waves were kind of smallish but we surfed for a bit anyway. The waves started catching up a bit later on and we were catching a few good ones.

Then, just when I was about to call it a day, a set came and I caught a bigger wave, droped right, grabbing the rail, the waved closed above me and it was magic, my first barrel even, crusing for a few seconds inside the barrel before the all wave closed on me..... man that was really nice.

S. Pedro de Moel weekend (Sunday)

No surf around here, so some photos from the other weekend in S. Pedro de Moel. Glassy small 0.5m, better than nothing.

This weekend surfed in S. Pedro de Moel. Saturday morning was 0.5m with some 1m set waves, light offshore and some friendly people on the lineup.

Update

So, last tuesday I got my order from Magicseaweed. Just bought a Digital Hero 3 .

The surf was looking good so we went to Guincho late afternoon. Took the camera with me but didn't actually got in with it. Gusy was already there surfing and I couldn't be bothered with figuring how the camera works.... so went in with no camera. The waves were really nice, got a few good ones and so did Gusy.

Yesterday, we went to Caparica. The waves were alright, not amazing but we still got a few good ones. Had a small accident and ended up getting hit by my own board in the head... which wasn't that cool...

Today we might be doing S. Pedro.

To top things, tomorrow we'll be having some rain aswell which means that, for a change, we'll have a parking space near the beach and it will be a fast drive!!!

There has been almost no waves over here to surf so I bet everyone will be in the water

Broken board

So, last friday we went all to Guincho.We got there and it was really small, so Gusy decided to leave and have no surf. Me and Hugo decided to stick around , get some sleep on the sand and then check to see if the waves were catching up.

We woke up 1 hour later and the waves were a bit bigger so we decided to catch a few. I surfed with Hugo's board, a 6'4, which was really really nice. I'll be buying a new board soon, probably a 6'4. It was really nice and fun and fast ... loved it.

Saturday there was no Surf, but Sunday we decided to go to Caparica, which was really nice. It was late afternoon and the waves were really nice and big. Hugo had a small accident and broke his board... it is getting fixed now.
